Rogue River Real Estate Information

The City of Rogue River is located in Jackson County between Medford and Grants Pass on Interstate Highway 5. Rogue River is about 250 miles south of Portland.
Rogue River has a population of about 1800 people.

One of the most popular events is the annual Rooster Crow. This event is held the last weekend in June and features a parade, carnival, local exhibits and of course, the rooster crow event.

Rogue River is located along the Rogue River. On the river, you will find excellent fishing, white water rafting as well as jet boat and mail boat rides from neighboring Grants Pass to the Oregon Coast.

When driving by car, it is only a short daytrip to Crater Lake National Park. At the park, you will find the deepest lake in North America. There are plenty of opportunities for picnicking, hiking or camping. Meals are served at the lodge and souvenirs are available at the gift shop.

Another day trip that is very popular is to the Oregon Coast. This trip will wind through the Redwoods and end at the Pacific Ocean. On the coast, there are miles of sandy beaches, tide pools and fishing charters. Harris Beach State Park is one of many state parks that allow camping at the Oregon Coast.

In the City of Rogue River, there is a grocery store, hardware store, drug store, several banks and churches.

Just outside of Rogue River in Wimer, the Wimer covered bridge is being rebuilt after collapsing last year. On East Evans Creek, at the site of a nursery from the 1920’s & 1930’s is the Palmerton Arboretum. In this Arboretum are trees from around the world.

Rogue River’s elevation keeps it somewhat cooler than neighboring Medford. Even summer nights may drop into the 60’s. Rogue River is a beautiful place to work, play and live.
